Appenzeller Edel Würzig

Appenzeller has been made in the Swiss Alps for over 700 hundred years. Edel Wurzig has a more pronounced flavour than gruyere, with rich hints of cream and roasted almonds to finish. This new but mature Appenzeller is a taste experience: nutty and balanced in character, with salt crystals due to long maturation, yet creamy and round. Each individual wheel is regularly washed with the secret wine and spicel brine for nine months.

Edel means ‘noble’ or ‘premium’ and Wurzig means ‘spicy’ or ‘aromatic’.
